Address of the Ivanovo State Medical Academy: 153462, Russia, Ivanovo, Engels ave., 8 Ivanovo State Medical Academy has been training international students since 1991.During this period of time almost 200 foreign citizens completed the full course of studies at the faculty for preliminary training, more than 80 foreign citizens were awarded a degree of Doctor of Medicine, M.D., almost 10 foreign citizens defended dissertations /Ph.D./. Now foreign students from 23 countries - Cameroon, Pakistan, Nepal, India, Ivory Coast, Tunisia, Nigeria, Kenya, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, Cyprus, Greece, Bolivia, Mongolia, France and some countries of the CIS are trained at the Academy.

A specialized computer classroom is available at the Department of Russian language in order to make educational and instructional process more productive.

Regularly international students' communities hold their festivals "The Days of National Culture". The 1st Congress of Cameroon Students trained in the countries of the Community of Independent States was held at the Academy in July, 1999.

Duration of studies:

• In specialty "General Medicine" and "Pediatrics" - 6 years

• In specialty "Nursing Management"- 4 years

• At the preliminary faculty - 9-10 months

• At housemanship - 2-5 years

• At the post-graduate course - 3-5 years

The beginning of the academic year is September, 1st. Every academic year is divided into two terms / September-January, February-June; each term is ended with examination session. Its duration is 4 to 5 weeks. Language of training is English.

 

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria to study MBBS at Ivanovo State Medical Academy is as follows:

• Students must have cleared NEET exam.

• The candidate must have completed class 12th from a regular board.

• Applicants must have cleared the NEET exam for admission to the MBBS course in any country abroad.

• The student must have an aggregate of at least 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology if the student is from the General category and must have English as a compulsory subject.

• The students from SC/ST/OBC category must have an aggregate of at least 40% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology and must have English as a compulsory subject.

Medium of Teaching

Following is the medium of teaching at Ivanovo State Medical University:

• At this university, all the different medicine courses are taught in the English language.

• Russian language is also taught to students so that it will be useful for them during their internships to communicate with the patients and also to communicate with other people in their daily life.

Admission Process for MBBS Course

Following is the simple & easy admission process for studying MBBS at Ivanovo State Medical Academy:

Step 1: Students should fill the application form available online.

Step 2: Then they have to submit a school leaving certificate, a birth certificate, a copy of passport, and transcripts of records.

Step 3: Once students submit the above documents, they will receive an admission letter from the university.

Step 4: The Registration Fees should be paid to the University Account.

Step 5: The Department of Federal Migration Service of the Russian Federation will start issuing the official invitation letter for study on the confirmation of the admission by respective universities.

Step 6: On receiving an admission letter from Russian Federation, students would need to visit the embassy/ consulate of the Russian Federation in your country for a student visa.
